The Caribbean region is faces many serious natural hazards, including hurricanes and earthquakes. Many of our member Chambers of Commerce have had direct experience of managing through very serious natural disasters. CARICHAM shares experiences between members in the area disaster risk reduction and we partner with regional and international organisations to develop best practices and help build more resilient economies and societies.

Preparing for the hurricane season in a global pandemic

At the onset of the 2020 hurricane season, CARICHAM organised a CARICHAM Regional Growth Series event on hurricane preparations in light of the COVID pandemic, along with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction and the ARISE Network.
